The USK2 sling stands for: universal rope sling, and the number 2 means that the sling is made according to the second type of manufacture, in the form of a ring. According to the new RD, this is a CCM sling-a rope ring sling. The length of such a sling is usually indicated by a fraction, for example: 2.0 t / 2500/5000 mm, or simply folded. It stands for this: the load capacity of USK2 is two tons, the length of the ring is five meters, and when folded, two and a half meters. Due to the fact that these slings are usually used in the folded state, with the same load capacity with loop slings USK1, the thickness of the rope in the CCM is almost two times less. Universal rope sling USK2 is used where there is no possibility of using other rope slings.
As a rule, these slings are made from a rope of GOST 2688-80 and 7668-80, less often from ropes of GOST 7669-80. USK2 is resistant to high loads, and can be used at ambient temperatures from -40 to +70ºC. This type of sling is optimally simple and reliable in operation. Slings made from steel-core rope can withstand a higher load than CCM ring slings made from organic-core ropes. The USK2 sling is made of galvanized or black rope and always in the form of a ring.
The CCM sling is made in two ways:
when the rope is pressed with a steel or aluminum sleeve, forming a ring from the rope;
braiding, according to this method, strands of rope are woven into the core, creating a ring of rope.
